I Dreamed a Dream from the original Les Miserables cast.  Sang by Fantine.

One of the best songs ever, both in Broadway and off Broadway.  The lyrics are so powerful and they somehow manage to conjure in one’s mind the very setting of the song.

I like this song partly because it’s Diana Argon (And she is my favorite character in Glee!) and because of the awesome lyrics.
